This Cookies Notice explains how this website uses cookies and similar technologies, what each category does, and how you can control them.

It supplements our Privacy Notice, which describes the personal information we handle in the course of selling and servicing electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Where a cookie or a server log produces personal information, the Privacy Notice applies to it as well.

This notice covers this website only. It does not cover the independent services you may reach from a link, such as a lender, a charging network, a manufacturer portal, a mapping provider or a licensed electrician.

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you return to the site, the browser sends the file back, which lets the site remember something about your visit.

Similar technologies do the same job in other ways. Local storage and session storage hold small amounts of data in your browser. A pixel or a script tag can record that a page was loaded. We refer to all of them as cookies in this notice.

Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting, which are called first-party cookies, or by another company whose content or service appears on the page, which are called third-party cookies.

A session cookie lasts until you close the browser. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or until you delete it.

The cookies set on this site fall into three categories:

Strictly necessary cookies, which keep the site functioning and secure and which cannot be switched off through the site itself.

Analytics cookies, which tell us in aggregate which pages and vehicles are read, so that we can spend our time on the pages people actually use.

We do not set advertising cookies, we do not run a behavioural advertising network on this site, and we do not sell or share cookie data for cross-context behavioural advertising.

These cookies are required for the site to load and to stay secure. They carry the technical information a server needs to serve the page you asked for and to tell one request apart from another.

They also support security functions, such as distinguishing ordinary traffic from automated abuse, and they may record whether you have already answered the cookie banner so that it is not shown to you again.

Because the site cannot function reliably without them, these cookies are set without a consent step. They do not track you across other websites, and they are not used to build a profile of you.

Preference cookies remember a choice you made on the site, so that the next page you open behaves the way you left it.

On this site that means small display choices, such as a unit or layout preference where one is offered, and your answer to the cookie notice itself.

These cookies are not used for advertising, they do not follow you to other websites, and they contain no sensitive information. They can be deleted from your browser at any time, and the site will still work, though your preference will be forgotten.

Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used in aggregate: which vehicles are read most, which sections of a long page are reached, how visitors arrive, and where a page fails to load.

We use that information to decide what to publish, what to correct and what to remove. It is reporting about pages, not a file about you. We do not use analytics cookies to identify you, to contact you, or to show you advertising on another website.

Where an analytics cookie is not strictly necessary, it is not set until you consent to the analytics category. If you decline, we receive no analytics data from your visit, and the site works exactly as it does for anyone else.

We configure our analytics so that internet protocol addresses are not stored alongside page views where the tool allows it, and we do not enable advertising or remarketing features in it.

Some pages embed content provided by another company, such as a map showing our location, a video, a typeface served from a font network, or a script that renders part of the page.

When that content loads, the provider may set its own cookies and receive technical information about your browser and your internet protocol address. We do not control those cookies, and their use is governed by the provider own privacy and cookie notices.

Where we can, we load third-party content in a way that delays it until you interact with it, so that no third-party cookie is set merely because you opened the page.

If you would prefer not to receive third-party cookies at all, you can block them in your browser. Doing so may prevent an embedded map or video from appearing.

Where a cookie is not strictly necessary, we ask for your consent before setting it, and we only use it for the category you agreed to.

You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future use of the cookies in that category; it does not make past use unlawful, and it does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew.

Where the law of your state requires an opt-out preference signal to be honored, we honor a recognized signal sent by your browser or an extension as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so honoring the signal changes nothing in practice, but the request is recorded and respected.

There is no form to fill in on this site to change a cookie choice, because this site has no forms. Use your browser settings, or contact us by telephone, email or post using the details below if you have a question about a cookie you have seen.

Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored for a site, delete them, and block them in future. The controls are usually found in the privacy or security section of the browser settings.
