This notice tells you what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who receives it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.
We sell electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, test battery packs, arrange home charging installation, refer financing, appraise trade-ins and deliver nationwide. That work gives us access to information about cars as well as about people, and both are covered here.
This website has no forms. There is nothing to submit, no application to complete and no callback to request online. Contact us by telephone, by email, or by post.
Scope of This Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how the dealership named in the contact panel below handles personal information. It applies to this website, to enquiries made by telephone, email or post, and to the vehicle transactions and services we provide from our premises in Orange County, Florida.
This website has no forms, no accounts, no shopping cart and no online checkout. You cannot submit an application, upload a document or enter a callback queue here, because no such feature exists on these pages. Every enquiry reaches us by telephone, by email or by post.
This notice does not cover the independent businesses that work alongside us, such as lenders, licensed electricians, transporters, auction houses or export agents. Each of those businesses gives you its own privacy notice, and we encourage you to read it before you share information with them.
When we refer to personal information, we mean information that identifies, relates to, describes or can reasonably be linked with you or your household, including the vehicle and charging data described in the sections that follow.
Information You Give Us
We receive information directly from you when you telephone, email or write to us, when you visit the showroom, when you take a test drive, when you negotiate a purchase, and when you bring a vehicle in for service or a battery test.
That information typically includes:
Your name, postal address, email address and telephone numbers.
Driver licence details and proof of insurance where a test drive or a delivery requires them.
Payment and title information needed to complete a sale, including lienholder details and payoff figures.
The make, model, model year, VIN, odometer reading and condition of any vehicle you sell to us, trade in or ask us to appraise.
Descriptions of your commuting pattern, off-street parking and electrical service that we need in order to size a home charger.
Records of our conversations with you, kept so that we can answer the same question the same way twice.
Electric Vehicle Data
Electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles generate a category of information that gasoline cars do not. If you buy or service a vehicle with us, we receive and keep that information, and this section describes it plainly.
Battery test data. Every car we offer is put through a charge and discharge cycle with cell-level logging before it is listed. The results include state of health, per-module voltage deviation, pack capacity against the original rating, thermal behaviour during fast charging and the DC charging curve.
Charging logs and telematics. Vehicles we sell, deliver or service may report state of charge, charging sessions, charge start and stop times, energy added, charging power, ambient temperature, mileage and, where the manufacturer account is linked, the approximate location of charging events.
Connected services. If you ask us to help with a manufacturer account, a charging network account, an over-the-air update or a recall campaign, we may see the account identifier, service plan and update history associated with the vehicle. We do not ask you for your account password, and you should not send it to us by email.
Home charging data. Where we arrange an installation, we receive the electrical load information the installer needs, and, at your option, the charging schedule and energy use reported by the wall unit during the first-week check described in our charging service.
Why we hold this. Battery and charging data is the evidence behind the battery health report we publish and the reason we can tell you honestly whether a pack is healthy. It also lets us diagnose a fault, document a warranty claim and show that a car left us in the condition we said it was in.
Information Collected Automatically
When you open a page on this site, the web server records standard technical information in a log: the internet protocol address the request came from, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page where one is sent, and the browser and operating system type.
We use those logs to keep the site available, to diagnose errors and to understand, in aggregate, which pages are read. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not attempt to identify a visitor from server logs unless a security incident or a legal obligation requires it.
The site uses a small number of cookies and similar local storage entries for the purposes described in our separate Cookies Notice. Where the law requires consent for a category of cookie, that category is not set until you agree to it.
We do not collect precise geolocation from your device, we do not access your camera or microphone, and no page on this site asks you to create an account.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for purposes that are tied to the transaction you asked us to perform, and for the everyday operation of a licensed dealership. Those purposes are:
To answer your enquiry, quote a vehicle, arrange a test drive and prepare a purchase or trade-in.
To run the battery test, publish the battery health report and explain the result to you.
To size a home charging solution and refer you to a licensed electrician who can install it.
To complete a sale, prepare title and registration paperwork, and satisfy Florida and federal requirements, including odometer disclosure and, where applicable, the Federal Trade Commission Used Car Rule Buyers Guide.
To arrange financing by referring you to lenders, and to arrange delivery, transport or export.
To honour our own limited warranty coverage and to help you pursue a manufacturer warranty claim.
To detect fraud, protect our premises and vehicles, and defend against fraudulent chargebacks or title claims.
To comply with tax, consumer protection, anti-money-laundering and record-keeping obligations that apply to motor vehicle dealers.
To send you service reminders, recall notices or a follow-up on a charging installation, where you have asked for them or where the law permits.
Financing and Credit Information
This website does not take credit applications, does not run credit checks and does not collect your Social Security number, income figures or bank details through any page.
When you ask us to arrange financing, we refer you to one or more lenders. The lender collects the credit application directly, either on its own system or on paper, and the lender is the entity that obtains your consumer report and makes the credit decision. The lender is a separate controller of that information and gives you its own privacy notice and its own adverse action notice where applicable.
Credit terms offered by a lender are governed by federal law, including the Truth in Lending Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and, for retail instalment sales of motor vehicles in Florida, by the Florida Motor Vehicle Retail Sales Finance Act. Those laws give you rights that we cannot waive and do not attempt to.
A lender that declines your application, or offers terms different from those discussed, is exercising its own judgment. We do not receive the lender internal credit model, and we do not receive your consumer report from the lender.
How We Protect Information
We keep personal information in access-controlled systems, on encrypted devices, and on paper in locked storage at our premises. Access is limited to the people who need it for the purpose at hand, and we train staff on handling customer records and on recognising fraudulent requests for them.
We use encryption in transit for this website and for email where the receiving system supports it. We do not ask you to send a Social Security number, a driver licence image, a bank account number or a vehicle account password by unencrypted email, and you should not send those items that way.
We maintain written procedures for responding to a security incident. If a breach of security affects your personal information, we notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014 and by any other law that applies, without unreasonable delay and in the manner that statute prescribes.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. We cannot promise that a breach will never occur, but we can promise that we maintain reasonable safeguards, that we investigate every credible report of a breach, and that we will tell you if your information is affected.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and then as long as a law, a warranty, an insurance policy or a dispute requires.
As a guide, transaction and title records are kept for the period required by Florida and federal motor vehicle and tax record-keeping rules, which can extend for years after the sale. Battery test reports and charging logs for a vehicle we sold or serviced are kept for the life of the applicable manufacturer warranty and our own warranty period, because they are the evidence that supports a claim.
Enquiries that do not become a transaction are kept for a reasonable period so that we can recognise you if you call again, and are then deleted or de-identified. Recordings and notes of calls are kept only as long as needed to confirm what was agreed.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or remove the elements that identify you, unless we are legally required to keep it longer or unless it is aggregated into statistics that no longer relate to you.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct information that is inaccurate, to have it deleted, and to receive it in a portable format. You may also have the right to ask us not to use it for certain purposes.
To make a request, email or call us using the contact details in the panel below, or write to the postal address shown there. Please tell us what you want and give us enough information to find your records. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.
We do not operate a web request form or a self-service portal, and no such feature exists on this site. A request made by telephone, email or post is treated the same way and receives the same attention.
If you are a Florida resident, no Florida consumer privacy statute of general application currently grants a private right of action against us for the handling of your personal information, but the obligations described in this notice, and the enforcement powers of the Florida Attorney General under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, apply to the way we treat you regardless.
If we decline a request, we will tell you why and explain how to challenge the decision. If you believe we have handled your information unlawfully, you may complain to the Florida Department of Legal Affairs, to the Federal Trade Commission, or, where the complaint concerns a credit matter, to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Notice to California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you additional rights. This section summarises them and supplements the rest of this notice.
Categories we collect. Identifiers and contact details; commercial information such as vehicles purchased or considered; internet or network activity in the form of server logs; geolocation only at the level of the postal address you give us; professional or employment information where a lender or an exporter requires it; and inferences drawn from the above for the purpose of serving you.
Sensitive personal information. We may receive a driver licence number and, in a financing context, a Social Security number if a lender passes it to us for title or registration purposes. We use sensitive personal information only to perform the services you requested, to protect security, and to comply with law. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
Your rights. You have the right to know what we collect, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for us to opt you out of; our separate Do Not Sell or Share notice states this formally and explains how to submit a request anyway.
Authorised agents. You may use an authorised agent to make a request, and we may require written permission from you and verification of the identity of the agent. We will not act on a request that we cannot verify.
How to exercise these rights. Email or call us using the contact details in the panel below, or write to the postal address shown there. We do not provide a web form for this purpose, because this site has no forms at all.
Children and Changes to This Notice
This site, our inventory and our services are meant for adults who can enter into a contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under sixteen, and we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under sixteen.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us using the details in the panel below and we will delete it.
We may update this notice to reflect a change in our practices, in the vehicles we handle, or in the law. When we do, we change the date shown at the top of this page, and a material change is described in plain language rather than left for you to find.
This notice is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where a consumer protection statute of your own state or of the United States gives you a right that cannot be waived. Nothing in this notice limits a right you have under the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014, the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, or the federal consumer protection laws that apply to motor vehicle sales.
