Charging
250 kW peak
10–80% takes about 31 minutes on a charger that can supply 250 kW or more.
Onboard AC charger 11.5 kW — a full night on a 240 V wall unit
Battery replacement
$13,500
Current cost of a replacement pack or module set for this model, fitted. We publish it so you can do the arithmetic before you buy, not after.
8 years / 120,000 miles from first delivery — transfers
Running cost
4.3 mi/kWh
Efficiency from the EPA rating and usable battery capacity. At Florida electricity prices that is about $3 per 100 miles of home charging — roughly a third of what a petrol equivalent costs to run.
Service costs are lower too: no oil, no belts, and brake wear is halved by regenerative braking.
Condition
92/100
Seven measured systems, including the battery and the charging hardware. Red-flag items are either corrected before listing or written into the defect log with the price consequence stated.
Among the best-conditioned cars on the lot.

Inspector's notes
Measured 322 miles on our mixed loop at 88 °F, against the 353-mile EPA figure. A February run would land nearer 300.
The car was charged to 100% fewer than a dozen times according to its own logs, which is why the pack reads as healthy as it does.
Battery is listed at 82 kWh because that is the pack figure Tesla publishes; usable is nearer 76.5 kWh, and Tesla gives no usable number at all.
Verified data
Factory figures, checked.
Range, efficiency, battery capacity, charging power and dimensions come from the manufacturer and the EPA rather than from a listing aggregator. Where a figure could not be verified we leave it out and say so.

Model watch list
What this generation is known for.
Documented faults for this exact year and powertrain, listed whether or not this particular car shows them — the recall or service bulletin is named so you can check it yourself.
- Heat-pump valve fault that can stop the windshield defrosting — recall 22V-050, 26,681 cars, fixed by an over-the-air software update
- Heat-pump compressors failing outside warranty on 2021 and later cars are the subject of a class action alleging a hidden defect, not of any recall
- Front lower lateral link fasteners can loosen and shift wheel alignment — recall 21V-835 covers 2,791 cars of this generation; this is the lower link, not an upper control arm
- Paint and panel-gap complaints are a warranty matter only: none of the 22 recall campaigns for the 2021 Model 3 concerns paint or body fit
Notes on the data
- Tesla does not separate gross from usable capacity. 82 kWh is the pack figure; the usable number quoted by independent testers is about 76.5 kWh.
- Horsepower and torque are the combined dual-motor figures from a magazine spec panel, not a manufacturer claim: sources for this car range from 346 hp to 425 hp, so treat ours as an estimate.
- No 10–80% charging test exists for this pack, so the 31-minute figure is measured 20–80% at a 250 kW V3 Supercharger.
- Cargo is quoted from Tesla at 19.8 cu ft behind the second row; the EPA uses its own method and lists 15 cu ft. Both are published numbers and they disagree.
- At about 45,000 miles the US market for a 2021 Long Range AWD sits near $21,000–$26,500, well below what the car cost new.
